A keen naturalist, John has for may years been an active falconer and beagler.

Flying a Goshawk and working Alice, his German Wirehaired Pointer, as well as whipping in for the Hunsley Beacon Beagles enables John to be constantly inspired by the British countryside.

This, along with keeping many species of birds and mamals allows him the close contact with his subject, which is vital to the execution of his work.

bullets

John does generally concentrate on native species, as these are what he sees, deals with and is inspired by.
